Ministry Overview
No matter what the addiction the possibility of FREEDOM is absolute.
Recovery like addiction is available to who ever wants to partake. The table of the Lord is set. Let him who will come/attend.

Note: Most, certainly not all of our people are free from active addictions to substances, and behaviors. Be they food, drugs, religion, alcohol, or sex, ECT. We want to normalize the stigmatism associated with the word "addiction".

People who might benefit from a recovery ministry are:
1. People who are dealing with or have dealt with addictive lifestyles.
2. People who have family members who are in the grip of this continuing and progressive illness.
3. People who have a desire to influence the lives of others.

What do people need to bring to the table:
1. A desire to make a commitment to the process from beginning to end. Luke 14:28 (NKJV) For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it.
2. A willingness to be open minded and willing to be honest, with God as well as people. James 5:16 (NKJV) confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

In order to honor this group, we will need to leave judgment, and gossip at home. This needs to be a safe place. Matthew 7:1 (NKJV) "Judge not, that you be not judged".

Note: The Church has been in great denial about the need for recovery beyond the alter call. people in the church community that feel the call to minister to the lost have a need to practice biblical recovery principles themselves, before they will be able to transmit God's recovery program. (It is not impossible but more difficult to transmit something they do not have) Rev. 12:11 (NKJV) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives to the death.
